Leonin Éditions is the fine art photography practice of Keith Leonin, a Laguna Woods, California photographer working in color and in black and white, across panoramic and medium-format film, 35mm, infrared, and digital. Every print is made on archival baryta paper, a fiber-based surface prized for its deep blacks and darkroom character.

Artist Statement

I photograph subjects that refuse to disappear: places most people drive past, faces weathered by work, creatures that hold still long enough to be seen. I am guided by wabi-sabi, the acceptance of transience and imperfection. I look for the beauty that only survival produces, the kind that can’t be manufactured, only earned.If the works of the mighty are going to crumble to sand anyway, the only reasonable response is tenderness toward whatever is still standing.
